Kareem is a Principal at Thomvest, focusing primarily on investments in cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure. He spends most of his time sourcing new opportunities, conducting due diligence on potential investments, and supporting existing portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Thomvest, Kareem was a member of Deutsche Bank’s technology investment banking team. While at Deutsche Bank, he advised clients on equity and debt financings as well as M&A transactions, including Dell’s $67B merger with EMC, the largest technology M&A deal in history.
Additionally, Kareem is a member of UCLA Ventures and also sits on the Young Executive Board of iMentor, a nonprofit that partners with high schools in low income communities to help students graduate high school, enroll in college, and achieve their ambitions.
He holds a BA in Business Economics from UCLA (Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
